Robyn Tipton: our founder's journey
Robyn Tipton, the visionary founder of Victory Within, is a breast and uterine cancer survivor. Diagnosed in November 2023, Robyn experienced the profound isolation that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis when friends and family distanced themselves. It was through the unwavering support of her family that she realized the critical need for a community where no one battles alone. During her treatments, Robyn discovered a powerful bond with fellow patients, transforming a quiet treatment room into a space of shared strength, laughter, and mutual encouragement. This experience sparked the idea for Victory Within – a peer-led organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support for all affected by cancer. Inspired by the Tucson Conquerors, Robyn embarked on this new journey to ensure everyone finds their victory within a supportive community.
Every member of the Victory Within team brings a unique perspective shaped by their own experiences with cancer, whether as a patient, survivor, caregiver, or family member. We understand the complex emotions – the sadness, the uncertainty, and the profound joy of celebration. Our collective journey means we can offer empathy and practical support, because we’ve been there too. We strive to be the light and reassurance you need on difficult days, fostering connections and a sense of belonging for everyone in our community.
